Hi, I’m Jo, a Licensed Nutritionist, Registered Dietitian, and Certified Diabetes Educator.
I specialize in customizing meal plans and vitamin protocols for any Medical or Weight loss needs you may have.
My goal is to understand the root cause of your health issue versus just alleviating your symptoms. To accomplish this, I utilize a scientific health assessment questionnaire, and optional nutritional or lab testing. With these assessments and a one on one consult I will provide you with a diet, supplement and exercise plan to help you get well.
I work with clients one-on-one through phone or video chat. I also offer medical diets and supplement protocols that you can purchase immediately.
It all began when I read my first nutrition book in the 80’s called You Can Get Well, by Adelle Davis.
Adelle was an author and considered one of the most famous nutritionists in the early 1940’s, she criticized the diet of the Average American and preached the benefits of whole grains, fresh vegetables, fruits, vitamin supplements, limiting sugar, and avoiding packaged and processed foods. Adelle’s nutritional ideas were way ahead of her time and at that moment I learned that I actually had a choice in the outcome of my health based on what I ate.
I decided to pursue an undergraduate degree in dietetics from James Madison University and became passionate about teaching others how to achieve more optimal health and prevent disease through the use of diet and exercise. I spent years doing hands on research , working with 1000’s of clients and taking numerous certification courses learning to incorporate vitamins, herbs and nutrition testing. I obtained a Master’s degree in Nutrition at University of Bridgeport and later became certified as a Diabetes Educator through the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists.
For many years I have helped 1000’s of individuals lose weight, correct digestive problems, lower cholesterol and blood pressure, gain more energy, decrease pain and inflammation, and lower blood glucose by teaching them lifestyle changes that work.
I have discovered that everyone needs a customized program, and that not one diet fits all. I use the evidence and science to show you what works and what doesn’t and do not believe in fad or short term diets.
I love biking, working out with weights, organic gardening , the beach, and—most of all—God, my family, friends and clients.
Now, I want to transform you into the best version of yourself by simplifying nutrition, meal planning and vitamin supplementation. I want to help YOU achieve optimal health and wellness!

Benefits of working with a Registered Dietitian.
Between what you hear on TV and read on social media eating right can seem like a real challenge. But it doesn’t have to be. A registered dietitian, or RD, will partner with you to develop a safe and realistic eating plan that you can stick with for the long haul. To guide and motivate you, a licensed and certified RD will use creative and out-of-the-box strategies to help with meal planning, grocery shopping, and mindful eating.
What’s more, roughly half of all RDs and RDNs hold graduate degrees and many have certifications in specialized fields, such as sports, pediatric, renal, oncology or gerontological nutrition.
Anyone can call themselves a nutritionist. But, only an RD or RDN has completed multiple layers of education and training established by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics.
All RDs or RDNs must:
Get a four-year degree which includes a specially designed, accredited nutrition curriculum.
Complete an extensive supervised internship of practice at a health care facility, foodservice organization or community agency.
Pass a rigorous registration exam.
Maintain continuing education credits throughout their career.
get your health back on track.
I want to help empower and motivate YOU to live a healthy life through educating YOU on which foods, nutritional supplements and lifestyle habits contribute to optimal weight , permanent weight loss and the prevention of disease.
